Hello all,
Hope you all had a fantastically productive month. The weather here in London has been..... shall we say, sticky? But thats how we like it. Please read "like" as deteste.
Just another monthly round up of all things FGH. Here we go...
First things first only one gig this month. This will be on the 29th of July in Hoxton at The Workshop with Old Street being the closest tube station. It's a new venue to us, we haven't played there before so we are not completely sure what to expect but it should be a right ol' knees up anyway. To be taken to our facebook event page click here. We look forward to seeing you at that one, we will be airing a brand new song too called 'The Calm That Comes After'. A snippet of which can be heard at the end of this video FGH YouTube Channel.
FGH Will be getting all dolled up this coming Sunday 3rd July as we are getting some new promo shots done with our good friend Derrick Wess. I will post them as soon as we have something worth posting. But the reasoning behind the photo's is to make us look uber-cool *giggles*, but more because we are creating some flyers promoting our website and free music. We will be handing them out at gigs and leaving them in relevent establishments kind enough to allow us to do so. If you think you could help and would like some mailed to you or you know somewhere good to suggest we leave some then let me know. You can email us over at fromgreathieght@hotmail.co.uk and just whack 'flyer distro' in the subject line.
All the pre-production for the new EP is moving along nicely (it has a working title now aswell). Also we now have a venue for the drum recordings and will be getting them done as soon as possible. We are currently discussing artwork and themes (what you would like to see? send ideas to us on twitter at @fromgreatheight we love hearing them). We are also toying with the idea of download only 'Bonus Material'. Keen followers with great powers of deduction will already know what i am talking about. The rest of you will have to wait. It's a surprise.
And thats it for July i am afraid. It's quietly busy for us, what with lots of behind the scenes action going on. But FGH will keep moving and bringing you the best new music we can.
Look forward to seeing you out there.
FGH
P.s. If you are into your Prog-Metal (you are) then head on over to www.talanas.org. Our good friends in Talanas have just announced a warm up tour of England in support of their appearance at this years Bloodstock festival. They are playing one of our favourite London venues in The Peel, Kingston on the 5th August. Try and get down there and see them tear it up. It is also a great opportunity to pick up their debut album 'The Waspkeeper' which features an awesome (if i do say so myself) guest apprearance from our very own Adam Ever. A review of this album can also be found in the current issue of Metal Hammer magazine. TTFN!
