From Great Height are a heavy rock four-piece hailing from North London. Drawing influence from the heavier bands of the 70's, the epic synth sounds from the early 80s and contemporary songwriting styles, the band have created a melodic, dynamic and distinctive style of Rock which is demonstrated not only by their music but also with their live show.

The band have started to make a name for themselves through their enthusiastic performances and their ability to share with an audience which has won them fans from rock, indie and heavy metal shows.

Upon their first self released demo, which contained the tracks "Split Seconds" and "Initial", the quartet began to gain attention both here in the UK when it was added to the Total Rock Radio playlist, with one online blog stating "You really need to hear this to experience just how good this is" and in the USA where it was added to the playlist of 'Class X Radio’ In Cincinnati, Ohio.

2009 saw From Great Height increase their fanbase and gain higher profile gig's, live studio interviews on Total Rock Radio, being featured in Terrorizer magazine as part of the ‘Choice Cuts - bands to listen out for’ feature, being made Classic Rock Magazines track of the day and the release of a five track EP titled 'FGH' which Classic Rock Magazine Editor and Total Rock DJ Malcolm Dome proclaimed - "This band have the potential to go far, very far."

In 2010 after promoting their second EP they landed the opening slot supporting ex placebo man Steve Hewitts new band 'Love Amongst Ruin' at North London's Relentless Garage, which saw them reach the larger fan-base they had been seeking. They also had multiple shows at 'The Peel' in Kingston renowned for its support of new and upcoming bands as well as those with a well known reptutation. These included main supports slots for acts such as 'Here & Now' and 'Defense Of The Realm' (w/ members of Marillion, Frost & Transatlantic) both of which earned them favorable reviews in the press with 'Classic Rock Presents: Prog' saying "Keep an ear out for this lot , because if they keep building this fan-base you'll be hearing from them very soon"

2011 has already seen FGH nominated in the 'Best New/Unsigned Band' category for Classic Rock presents:Prog and they have confirmed further shows at 'The Peel' as well as the 'Hoxton Underbelly' and the 'Camden Barfly', all while of course writing new material and developing their sound even further.
